Author Copyright Retention

In accordance with international open-access recommendations and to safeguard scholarly freedom, SRTM enforces a policy of full copyright retention. Authors retain copyright to their work without restrictions. The journal does not demand or enforce any copyright transfer agreement (CTA).

Grant of Publishing Rights

Upon formal acceptance of a manuscript, authors grant SRTM and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences a non-exclusive license to publish, produce, disseminate, display, and archive the article in all digital formats (right of first publication). This grant includes authorization to include the work in persistent indexing repositories and bibliographic databases.

Furthermore, authors grant third parties the non-exclusive right to read, download, share, and adapt the article strictly for non-commercial purposes, governed by the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Author Reuse and Self-Archiving Rights

As perpetual copyright holders, authors retain comprehensive rights to reuse their scholarly output without seeking prior permission from the journal, including:

• Reusing portions or the entirety of the article in subsequent academic works, including theses, dissertations, monographs, textbooks, and lecture series.
• Reproducing and presenting the findings in academic conferences, seminars, and professional educational workshops.
• Self-archiving the Version of Record (published PDF) or the Accepted Manuscript immediately upon publication in institutional, discipline-specific, or public repositories without any embargo period, provided proper bibliographic citation and persistent DOI resolution to SRTM are maintained.

Third-Party Content and Permissions

If a submitted manuscript contains illustrations, tables, diagrams, or extensive text excerpts previously published elsewhere, the authors are solely responsible for obtaining formal written copyright clearance from the original rights holder before publication. Full credit and citation to the original source must be explicitly acknowledged in the respective caption or table footnote.
