Student Research in Translational Medicine journal
Student Research in Translational Medicine (SRTM), formerly published as School of Medicine Students’ Journal (SMSJ, eISSN: 2676-7597), is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal. Since 2022, SRTM has adopted a Continuous Article Publishing (CAP) model.
Please read the Aims and Scope of the journal at the following link:
Manuscripts must be submitted in English via the journal’s online system and must follow the provided instructions and templates. Submissions that do not comply will be returned to authors.
There are no submission or publication fees. All accepted manuscripts are published free of charge. For updates, refer to the APC Policy.
SRTM is a fully open-access journal. All content is immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy, and distribute under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, allowing redistribution and adaptation for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution. See the Licensing Policy for details.
Editorial team members and peer reviewers assess manuscripts for structure, scope alignment, innovation, quality, plagiarism, and ethics. Prompt responses are prioritized to maintain efficiency.
Submissions are evaluated by the Co-Editor-in-Chief and reference reviewers for methodological soundness and formatting. At least two external reviewers conduct a single-blind review. Authors respond to reviewer comments, which are then assessed by a final reviewer. Editorial board sessions determine final decisions.
Submissions from SRTM staff and editors are subject to the same peer-review standards.
SRTM adheres to COPE core practices. Authors must follow ICMJE authorship criteria. Research involving humans or animals must have ethics committee approval and comply with relevant declarations. See the Publication Ethics page.
To ensure clarity and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to follow established reporting guidelines:
Visit the EQUATOR Network for more resources. Please state in your manuscript’s Methods section which guideline was followed (e.g., “This study was conducted in accordance with CONSORT guidelines.”).
Clinical Trial Registration
SRTM requires the registration of all clinical trials in a public trials registry prior to participant enrollment, as mandated by the ICMJE and the World Health Organization (WHO).
To ensure a smooth and efficient review process, please prepare your manuscript according to the following guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply may be returned to authors.
Organize your manuscript into the following sections. Upload the Title Page as a separate file to support the peer review process.
